Red Sox, the running team!

From ESPN.com: SS Julio Lugo stole his 14th base Friday night and has not been caught stealing this season. He is the first Boston player to be successful on his first 14 steal attempts since Leon Culbertson in 1943

Imagine how many bases Lugo could steal if he could actually get on base more than once a week.

true. posting a .275 OBP as a leadoff guy doesn't bode well for a guy who's making $36mn over 4 seasons. if the sox' lack of patience for non-productive shortstops is any indication of what's to come, lugo will not likely outlive his contract in a red sox uni.

I'll settle for Lugo getting on base just once a week.
